Dear future parents!
The Preparation for Childbirth and Parenthood program is an educational course for pregnant women, their partners, and other companions. It covers pregnancy, physical exercise, the upcoming birth, the postpartum period, breastfeeding, and newborn care. The staff of the Health Education Center at the Novo Mesto Health Center delivers the program..
The program is divided into two parts:
EARLY PREGNANCY (intended for women in the first half of pregnancy):
- Healthy lifestyle during pregnancy
- Dental care during pregnancy and child dental care
- Physical exercise during pregnancy
Lectures in early pregnancy are conducted online. Registration is required by e-mail at: solazastarse@zd-nm.si. On the first Tuesday of the month, you will receive links to video recordings.
PREPARATION FOR CHILDBIRTH (intended for women in the third trimester)
- Course and preparation for childbirth
- Baby and child care
- Breastfeeding
- Basic resuscitation procedures for children
- Psychological support after childbirth
- Stem cells
No prior registration is required to attend these lectures. We meet in front of the Women’s Health Clinic (1st floor). The lectures are held in the conference room of the Novo Mesto Health Center (3rd floor).
All future parents are invited to attend.
Attendance is not mandatory for the presence of a partner or companion during childbirth, but participation is recommended. If a partner requires a certificate of attendance, we can provide one.
