Mission
Our primary objective is to preserve and improve the health and quality of life for our patients, while also engaging in preventative healthcare initiatives that promote better health and well-being within the community and their environment. We provide our medical services at the highest standard of quality, which reflects our commitment to delivering exceptional primary healthcare in diagnosis, treatment, and patient recovery, as well as ensuring the uninterrupted operation of emergency medical services during regular hours and on-call periods. Our endeavors also emphasize the advancement of specialized medical care at the primary level. We seek to foster effective collaboration—both professionally and in staffing—with all regional health centers and contractors.
Vision
The Health Center Novo mesto (HC NM) aspires to remain the primary provider of essential health services, including emergency medical assistance and preventive healthcare, across the eight municipalities: the City Municipality of Novo mesto and the Municipalities of Šentjernej, Škocjan, Šmarješke Toplice, Žužemberk, Straža, Dolenjske Toplice, and Mirna Peč. Primary health services serve as the initial point of contact between the population and the healthcare system. Healthcare at this level is accessible to all residents of the local community without the need for prior referrals or intermediaries by other healthcare institutions or individuals. Only a comprehensive primary healthcare system can deliver adequate, equitable, high-quality, and cost-effective medical care. HC NM functions as the central provider of primary healthcare, representing a comprehensive medical center that offers all outpatient health services in a single location.
Our guiding principle is: "WORKING WITH PEOPLE, FOR PEOPLE."
